Hi, I'm still Brian!

I'm still with Mommie and I'm going on 8+ years old. 

She' calls me "old man" all the time, but she means it with love.

Happy National Dog Day!

Brian has been going through a lot lately. He was hit by a car, getting over a bacterial infection (two actually) and he lost a friend to old age. But, he's a trooper and I'll be sure to post many more Brian adventures more often.

One Year this month.

On December 20, 2012, my Mommy sighed the paperwork to make me her doggie. Its been a great adventure and she has been the best Mommy by me. I'm healthier, happier and I love her bunches! The Christmas season will always be special to me because I found my forever home.

Here's wising all my four legged brothers and sisters out there awaiting homes the best of luck.

Hi everybody!

Since my leg got better from my incident last time (a bacterial infection), my mommie and I have been hiking in Griffith Park everyday for the past few weeks. It's tons of fun, and I really like exploring all the different smells, seeing the different doggies, and having people com up to me and want to pet me.

We live down there somewhere :)

I hurt my leg.

Hi everyone. I hurt my leg. I think it was from me jumping off my mother's bed and slipping on the wood floor. She freaked out seeing me limp and took me to the emergency vet.

Right now I'm on meds for the week, and if it does not get better she's taking me to our vert for an evaluation. She is preparing for the worst, surgery. She just wants me better.

I'll keep you posted!!

Morning at the park.

Hello everyone. It's summer in Los Angeles and it gets hot. My Mama got up early to take me to Barnsdale Park before the heat got to be too much. It was great. I peed, pooed, trotted around and sniffed till I couldn't sniff anymore.

This is the Hollyhock House, a historical Frank Lloyd Wright home that is in the midsts of a renovation. From the left you can see all the way to Griffth Park, and to the right is downtown LA. It's a cool place (figuratively) and I'm glad I live here.

Hi I'm Brian!

Hi, I am Brian and I am a three year old Mastiff/Shar-pei mix that was adopted from the LA shelter last January. I am about 96 pounds, love taking walkies, chewing on my bone, sleeping, peeing and doing other dog things about my neighborhood. I am super social, though people always judge me on my size. That won't detur me from winning over hearts and dogs alike with my outgoing nature and cute vocals. I'm a lover and a 'bog galoote'.

This blog is going to be about my adventures and the overall life of big dogs in general. We often get a bad name, and I'm here to show the world that big dogs are awesome and friendly and sweet. Okay, I gotta go to sleep now!
